1. Use a plaque-reducing rinse. 3. Use a soft toothbrush at least twice daily with Viadent toothpaste to clean the implant. and permanent bridgework, as, well as massage the gums. If you have a removable appliance, you can maintain that by by using an ultra-soft toothbrush with soap and water daily, and then soaking the appliance in cleansing tablets approximately once weekly. 4. We also recommend recall cleanings in our office every three months (or more often in special cases) to uphold and maintain proper oral hygiene.. We want this prosthesis to last as long or' longer than you! During these visits, Susan, our hygienist, will review these aids with you first-hand, and also answer any questions you might have. 5. You lost some or all of your second set of teeth as a direct result of neglected oral hygiene principles. You have invested a large sum of money and a considerable amount of time, effort, and emotional energy into your treatment. We expect, then, that you fully understand that should optimal oral hygiene not be initiated and obsessively continued, your new "third set" of teeth will come to the same unfortunate ending as your second set of teeth did. You are one of the fortunate few granted another chance--- make the most of it! Susan, our hygienist, will be happy to answer any of your hygiene questions either by calling her M/W/F or by setting up an appointment for oral hygiene instruction. 6. NO GUM CHEWING AT ANY TIME DURING OR AFTER TREATMENT
